Zach Rubin is an award-winning sales and marketing executive who assists brands, talent and properties effectively navigate the sports and entertainment vertical markets. Throughout his career, Zach has successfully collaborated with Fortune 500 and early-stage companies, iconic personalities and influencers, high-profile commercial properties and prominent media organizations.
Currently, Zach acts as the EVP, Marketing at VaynerSports, a full-service athlete representation and sports marketing agency. Zach was recruited by VaynerSports to build and lead the organization’s newest division - Consulting - and joined the team in May 2021 as SVP, Consulting. Since Zach joined, VaynerSports Consulting division has since become a market leader in NCAA Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) strategy and activation. Zach was promoted to oversee all marketing inside of VaynerSports - both for brands and talent - January 2023.
Prior to VaynerSports, Zach was Vice President at IdeaQuest, a boutique sales and marketing solutions agency based in Ramsey, NJ. He joined IdeaQuest in February 2012 as Account Director and was promoted to Vice President in June 2017. At IdeaQuest, he was responsible for leading the IdeaQuest’s Consulting division where he drove efforts that quadrupled company revenue over that time.
Prior to IdeaQuest, Zach worked as a Sales and Marketing Representative at International Sports Management, USA (ISM USA) where he was responsible for developing endorsement deals for ISM USA’s golfers including Rory McIlroy, Ernie Els and Lee Westwood. In addition, Zach has held positions in the consulting and brand marketing departments of agency IMG Worldwide, the sponsorship sales department of NBA franchise New Jersey Nets and in the marketing department of sports marketing agency Rule 1.02 Marketing.
Zach attended and graduated from Lehigh University where he received a B.A. in Political Science. He graduated Cum Laude, received multiple Dean’s List honors and was a member of the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society and The National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Zach has also received certification from Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies specific to its Sports Industry Essentials program.
Zach was born and raised in Wyckoff, NJ and now resides in Hoboken, NJ with his wife Jen and his daughter Molly.
